The Obsidian Guardian
This regal sentinel keeps a watchful post, observing all that moves about his domain. The luster of his black coat shines in the fading light.
This guardian is a protector of the sensitive at heart, blocking negative forces and coming to the aid of those in need. His midnight sheen cloaks him as he becomes a silent ward of the approaching night.
One of the very first "winged cats" that Ed Beard Jr. has ever done and we think it was done with his artistic flair, making a panther look like it could really fly on glossy raven wings. This image was created as the cover of this year's ConCarolina program book.
This is an Artist Proof edition, limited to only 100 copies. They are hand pulled by the artist at press check and are the most accurate selections to the original painting. Each print comes hand signed and numbered by artist, Ed Beard Jr. Custom matted to a finished size of approx. 16" x 20".
